Meet Dr. Paul Decker
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) Hanover, NH
Dr. Paul Decker graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1997. Upon graduation, Dr. Decker opened a private dental practice in Davison, Michigan where he practiced until 2009. While at the University of Michigan, Dr. Decker did several externships in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery as well as the required courses to complete his dental degree.
Dr. Decker and his wife, Dr. Janice Pilon, relocated to the Upper Valley and opened their practice in Hanover, NH in August 2010. He spends his free time enjoying all the skiing and biking that the Upper Valley has to offer and attending his children’s sporting events. He is also an Alpine Coach with the Ford Sayer Ski Program. Dr. Decker was born in New England and is happy to be back living here.
Dr. Decker is a member of the American Dental Association, New Hampshire Dental Association, former member and Delegate of Michigan Dental Association and former board member of the Genesee District Dental Association.
Meet Dr. Janice Pilon
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) Hanover, NH
Dr. Janice Pilon graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1993. Upon graduation, Dr. Pilon spent the following year completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program. She also started in private practice with her father, Dr. James Pilon, in Flint, Michigan. She continued to practice with her father until his retirement in 2004 and then sold the practice in 2010 so that she and her husband, Dr. Paul Decker, could practice together in the Upper Valley.
Prior to dental school, Dr. Pilon became interested in dentistry when she would help out at her father’s dental practice during her summer breaks while in high school. When she went to college, she received a BS in Dental Hygiene in 1986, from Marquette University. After graduating from Marquette, she moved to Boston, MA and worked in a periodontal practice in the Back Bay area, until she left to attend dental school.
Dr. Pilon is a member of the American Dental Association and New Hampshire Dental Association, former member of the Michigan Dental Association and Past President of the Genesee District Dental Association. In her spare time, Dr. Pilon, enjoys spending time with her family, skiing, reading and getting to know the Upper Valley.
Meet Dr. Nicholas Lipinski, DMD
Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD)
Dr. Nicholas Lipinski is a fourth-generation dentist in our family practice and Dr. Pilon’s nephew. He was inspired to become a dentist at a young age by his grandfather and role-model, Dr. James Pilon. Dr. Lipinski originally hails from Michigan where he completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan in 2017. During summer breaks, he would assist Drs. Decker and Pilon and also volunteer at the Red Logan Dental Clinic in White River Junction. It was during these experiences that he became familiar with the Upper Valley.
He continued the remainder of his education at Boston University where he earned a M.S. in Oral Health Sciences and his DMD degree with honors from the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2022. Dr. Lipinski started out as an associate dentist with Drs. Decker and Pilon until recently entering full-partnership with his relatives.
In his free time, Dr. Lipinski particularly enjoys skiing and coaches alpine racing with the Ford Sayre Ski Program. He is an enthusiastic supporter of University of Michigan Athletics and also enjoys raising his active Shetland Sheepdog named Ringo. Both Dr. Lipinski and his wife, Haley, are elated to call the beautiful Upper Valley their home.
